2. Delete images on a computer always.
When you delete images from your card on the camera, it can decrease the lifetime of your memory card. Ideally, the fewer times you add or remove data on your SD card, the better.
When you try to erase all images in one go after uploading them to your computer, you’ve to run only one erase cycle. You don’t need to run multiple erase cycles, which risk losing important files (photos).
3. Avoid overloading your cards.
Never fill your SD card with images completely. This could cause trouble or errors with some type of memory card. So, we encourage you to regularly take images off your SD card instead of waiting for it to be full. Otherwise, you could lose gigabytes of images if your card gets crashed or lost.
4. Periodically Update Your Cards
These days, the total life spans of memory cards have increased, thanks to technological advancement. But compared to other devices like hard drives (HD), SD cards have a limited life.
So, make sure you update your SD card from time to time. With prices becoming cheaper, updating your card periodically is, luckily, cost-effective.
