What’s happening at Adobe Max 2022 

Due to time zones, there were 4 different virtual timetables for this year’s event, which ran from Tuesday, October 18, to Thursday, October 20, depending on where you are in the world.

Here are a few of the events below that might be interesting to give you a taste of what’s on offer. However, there are many more.

1. A welcome Keynote from Adobe professionals

As usual, the conference begins with the Opening Keynote, a two-hour presentation that details all the new features Adobe is introducing for its software, including the Creative Cloud. 

2. Cristina Mittermeier’s Inspiration Keynote 

The Inspiration Keynote is intended to inspire, whereas the Opening Keynote aims to inform. Listen in to hear from filmmaker Siân Heder, photographer Cristina Mittermeier (opens in new tab), painter Kadir Nelson, DJ Steve Aoki, and artist Jeff Koons as they discuss what inspires them to continue making art.

3. With Aundre Larrow, use Lightroom for Mobile to take and edit your best photos ever. 

A hands-on virtual workshop led by visual artist Aundre Larrow is intended to acquaint you with the camera included with Lightroom for mobile. Additionally, you discover how to enhance any photo you take and make your pictures pop wherever you choose to share them using editing software. 

4. How to Transition From Stills to Video Like a Pro 

The well-known portrait photographer Mark Mann recently experimented with shooting video and found the learning curve to be challenging. Mark discusses how his stills experience is a huge asset in his Adobe Max talk (opens in new tab), but he also discusses some issues for video directing. 

6. Digital Storytelling: Epic Solo Motorcycle Tour of the Himalayas 

World-famous photographer Jody MacDonald takes you on her most recent journey in search of inspiration and hope in a world that is changing quickly during this session. She discusses her creative approach and forays into new media, such as introducing YouTube to video editing and vacation photography. 

7. Kevin Hart and Limit Sneaks 

The conference’s MAX Sneaks, which offers a sneak preview of upcoming tools and features for Adobe software, is another yearly highlight. Although there is no assurance that these concepts will result in new products, it is nevertheless interesting information that is typically delivered in a playful, lighthearted manner. Kevin Hart, a comedian, is this year’s co-host.

8. Combine 2D, 3D, and traditional photography 

Join photographer and filmmaker Lionel Koretzky to learn about his transition from the conventional photoshoot to CGI and 3D, as well as the valuable contributions that photographers can make to this constantly developing industry. You’ll explore how 3D is the next step in photography’s growth, giving companies and photographers new, adaptable tools to expand their creative horizons. 

9. Mighty Lightroom Color Tools Make You Feel Like, WHOA! 

Discover how Photoshop Lightroom’s color features may help you create works of art from your photographs. Together with ZEISS Ambassador Kenneth Hines, Jr., learn the potent color-enhancing tools offered by Lightroom in this fascinating session.

10. Race cars, cameras, and action! Process of Larry Chen’s Photography 

On his Intel-based MSI Creator laptop, an automotive journalist and car culture photographer Larry Chen walks you through his shooting, culling, and editing workflow using Photoshop Lightroom, Photoshop, and Adobe Premiere Pro. Larry will show how he uses Canon cameras to take pictures and then quickly selects the finest ones.
